BE A PART

Want to experience

the jazzopen up close?

After we rocked the jazzopen last year with a volunteer team, we are also looking for volunteers to support us in organizing the festival in our anniversary year 2024. In this way, we want to continuously optimize our events and offer our audience an even better service and even higher quality.

We are therefore looking for motivated volunteers who have the time and desire to help us make the jazzopen a success on several days between July 15 and August 3.

The tasks involved are varied: from looking after our information stand, selling tickets at the box office, looking after our community online, welcoming and supporting our guests, setting up on stage to supporting our artists.

Are you interested? Then send an e-mail to team[at]opus.live.

    ...and much more!

What you should contribute:

  • Reliability
  • Motivation and resilience
  • Time between July 18 and 29 (please specify exact availability), also before and after for set-up and dismantling (probably July 15 to August 3)

Areas of responsibility:

Set-up and dismantling: We will set up and dismantle the entire festival infrastructure. This involves a number of tasks, such as hanging banners, erecting construction fences, etc., for which we need support.

Admission / ticket control: You will receive our visitors at the entrance and scan the tickets after the security check. If something does not work, you will assist in clarifying the situation in cooperation with our box office team.

Handing out wristbands: For some areas, our visitors need an extra wristband to simplify access control. These include Front of Stage (FOS) and business tickets. After the ticket has been checked, you will put the festival wristband on the visitors.

Ticket sales / box office: You sell tickets that are still available at the box office and issue guest list tickets and press passes to authorized persons.

Information stand support: At our information stand on Schlossplatz (18.-23.07.23) you will provide our visitors with all the important information. Whether it's the performance times of the acts or where the toilets are, you'll be on hand to answer any questions, hand out information material, hearing protection, etc. You also deal with general inquiries by phone and e-mail.

Merchandise sales: At the merchandise stand, you will be responsible for selling merchandise products. Your tasks also include stocking and setting up and dismantling the products.

Hospitality (artist support): You will help our artist support team with stocking the backstage rooms, setting up and making sure that the artists feel comfortable with us, discretion and reliability as well as English language skills are essential here.

Runner: Here you will be involved in a wide range of tasks: you will procure missing items at short notice, transport required material to our various venues and be on call if spontaneous support is needed elsewhere (a driving license is an advantage here).
