PRESENCE
The 22-year-old Roni Kaspi made waves in 2020 as the drummer in the internationally touring Avishai Cohen Trio. After her breakthrough at Berklee Conservatoire, she was mentored by Terri Lyne Carrington. In addition to her role in Avishai Cohen's trio, she played a significant part in the album "Shifting Sands." Now, she leads her own trio project that blends various genres like alternative-pop, soul, and electronica. Inspired by artists such as Tony Williams and Miles Davis, Roni creates an inclusive mix with her creative drumming, soulful singing, and candid lyrics. The Roni Kaspi Trio is an example that jazz is not just your parents' music but a special ingredient for curious young artists. Their music reflects the present moment.
