Jakob Manz Groove Connection

"Groove Connection" presents the talented young alto saxophonist Jakob Manz alongside an esteemed international lineup, embodying the essence of Soul and Groove Jazz. The album showcases Manz's exceptional ability to captivate audiences with soulful melodies, precise solos, and a robust rhythmic sense. Produced by Roberto Di Gioia and Siggi Loch, the project is fueled by Manz's unique qualities and the collaboration with top international musicians. Loch highlights Manz's remarkable talent, drawing parallels to renowned saxophonists like Lou Donaldson, David Sanborn, and Klaus Doldinger, who achieved global success blending jazz with soul and blues. Manz, known for his virtuosity, unpretentious style, and commitment to connecting with listeners, emphasizes the significance of playing the alto saxophone in a way that fills the space and resonates directly with the audience. Whether in clubs, concert halls, or festivals, his music leaves a lasting impact.

The bank

Traditionally, the jazzopen are opened here - with the awarding of the German Jazz Trophy. Under the motto "A Life for Jazz", deserving artists receive this award from the foundation Stiftung Kunst und Kultur der Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg.
