Jazz for kids

Jazz for Kids

Jazz is not just for adults. It is a musical journey for the whole family. As a fixed item on the jazzopen programme, the Sunday morning of 21 July 2024 is therefore once again dedicated to children and their families. From 11 a.m., our youngest guests aged 3 and over can sing, make music and discover the fun of music. Of course, improvised jam sessions are a must on this Sunday morning. Because jazz is groove.
The children's programme is free of charge. Jazz for children not only inspires the younger visitors, but also their adult companions: while the little ones playfully learn more about jazz and get to know new musical instruments, their parents and relatives are amazed - and (almost) forget their lattes. Be sure to bring something to rattle - and if you didn't know how to snap along properly before, you will after this concert.

The bank

The former counter hall of the Sparda Bank branch at Stuttgart's main railway station was once transformed into a chic event location - and has since been a safe bank for top-class jazz concerts during the festival. Traditionally, the jazzopen are opened here - with the awarding of the German Jazz Trophy. Under the motto "A Life for Jazz", deserving artists receive this award from the foundation Stiftung Kunst und Kultur der Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg.
